Maggie Szabo
Canadian singer/songwriter Maggie Szabo released her new single “Don’t Give Up” on September 19th.
Written by Szabo, Chaz mason and Stefan Lit, “Don’t Give Up” is an uplifting pop record. The singer/songwriter delivers an encouraging message for those who struggle with their identity and the conformities of today’s society.
“People are people, love is love. Society needs to stand up. I can’t stand by and watch millions of transgender youth live in fear for their safety, outcast from their homes and marginalised by society simply because they are struggling to understand their gender identity. I want to stand with them.”, reveals Szabo.
Produced by Stefan Lit, the empowering single offers the perfect recipe of a pop record. Well produced and written, “Don’t Give Up” allows the singer to show off her big vocals.
The video captures a girl struggling with her gender identity.
Starring Shadia Martin, Ethan Mullins and Ron Ringo, the video provides a beautiful message of love and hope. At the end of the day, no one is ever alone and each one of us is worthy.
Now based in Los Angeles, Szabo is currently working on her new EP Worthy. The first single “Don’t Give Up”, which premiered on Billboard, is now available on all digital platforms.
Part of the proceeds of the record will be donated to the Ali Forney Center, which protects LGBTQ youths from the harms of homelessness.
