Percival Elliott releases new single "Forever"

Hailing from the south coast of England, Percival Elliott mix their influences of folk, pop and rock to create a nostalgic and poetic sound through their new single “Forever”, which premiered on the Huffington Post on December 12th.

Produced by Adam Stanton, the indie folk/rock ballad portrays a love that can last forever.

“Forever is about a chance meeting with someone. Sparks and butterflies, even if it’s just for a second, that feeling can last forever”, Hite reveals.

By combining a big instrumentation with brilliant melodies and soaring harmonies, the duo delivers a great intensity throughout the whole record. Along with those sublime vocals and vivid lyrics, the band allows the listener to feel a real emotion and passion behind this timeless record.

“Forever” is a heartfelt single that will resonate with anyone who believes in that eternal love.

Formed by Olly Hite and Samuel Carter-Brazier, the band’s name comes from Hite’s great grandfather Percival Elliott born in 1883, who was an inventor who created one of the first ice-cream emporiums in Brighton. After discovering a dusty box of trinkets in the back of Hite’s family attic, the untouched time capsule unveiled Percival Elliott’s mysterious inventions, engraved ice-cream paraphernalia, haunted photographs and time honoured war medals. Inspired by his story, the two friends designed their artistry and musicality; from the band’s name to the black and white visuals and their remarkable records, the English duo is honouring the memory of a great man.

Influenced by the likes of Coldplay, John Mayer, Radiohead and Jeff Buckley, the two musicians create a dreamy, captivating and haunting sound that has been reaching a wide audience across the UK.

After the release of their self-titled EP released in 2005, Percival Elliott will be releasing their debut album Save Your Soul, due early 2018.

The first single “Forever” is now available.
