“+WHISKEY-” is about addiction, whether it be to a substance, activity, or another human. It’s easy for lines to blur and for your judgement to become distorted when you’re so dependent upon something. You fall into this push/pull routine where you can’t help but continue to come back to the source, no matter the misery it causes. “+WHISKEY-” is about the moment where you have to say yes.”, reveals the band.
Produced by American producer Jonny Fung, “+WHISKEY-” marks the beginning of a new era for the band, offering a powerful statement through an electrifying alternative-rock original sound.
Formed by Andy Tongren, Julian Dimagiba and Steve Patrick, the New-Jersey band quickly got introduced to the multi-platinum New-York producers Shep Goodman and Aaron Acetta who signed the band to their music production company Dirty Canvas Music in 2014. The trio then released the well-acclaimed single “High”, which instantly caught the attention of tastemakers across the globe, including BBC Radio 1 DJ, Zane Lowe. The band ultimately signed with Interscope Records and released their self-titled EP shortly after.
The American band performed across the US, Canada, and the U.K. with major artists like Halsey, The 1975, and The Neighbourhood.
Young Rising Sons makes their long awaited return with their new smash single “+WHISKEY-”.
