"all my friends are sad" by LVRBOY & Leah Sykes
I first wasn’t planning on writing any article, but this song resonates so much with me, I had to write something. I guess this is how we all kinda felt this year: sad. Listening to this song reminded me of all these conversations with my friends during this pandemic. It was a tough one, my feelings were all over the place and… all my friends were/are sad.
“all my friends are sad” is definitely my favorite release of the month and one of my favorite releases of the year. I don’t think I ever heard anyone else writing/singing about this specific topic before. It is real, emotional, personal, vulnerable and it’s coming out at the perfect time. 2020 was a difficult year for a lot of us and I know everybody will relate to this song. We all need to know we’re all in this together and it’s okay to feel sad. “all my friends are sad” will become one of those timeless records you will play on repeat.
I’ve been following Leah Sykes for quite some time and featuring her on my blog was one of my goals. I guess this was the right moment :) She brought so much emotion to the record, it’s incredible. And LVRBOY.. well, he’s become one of my favorites and he’s an insane songwriter.
