I still remember the day I discovered Aquilo's music. It was a gloomy day in Paris. My Spotify was on shuffle (as always), and this song called "You Won't Know Where You Stand" came on. It is today one of my favorite songs ever. In fact, their whole record Silhouettes is one of my favorite records ever. Timeless.

What I love the most about this band is their ability to convey emotion. It can be through one of their songs or through one of their videos or through one of their artworks. Everything evolves around emotion. And this is how great art is being made (in my opinion). This is what Aquilo does. Great art.

Today they have a new single out. It's called "Missing the Mark" and as always, they're staying true to who they are. It is beautiful, comforting, real, emotional, magical and cinematic.

Their songwriting gets me every time.

“Missing the Mark” is another song I will play on repeat every time I will have the need to feel something. Music is meant to be felt. I also believe it is meant to help us feel less alone and to help us understand our feelings better. This is what Aquilo’s music does. They’re not afraid to be vulnerable in their art and I believe that’s one of the reasons why so many people connect with their music.
