"White Gown" by Jude

I know this song is only available on Soundcloud for now but I thought I’d write a little something about Jude and “White Gown” anyway. I don’t exactly remember when I discovered Jude, but I’m pretty sure it was around 2010. I always loved how unique her voice sounded and how authentic she was. She still is. I was lucky enough to interview her back when my blog was nothing but me trying to figure things out. But ever since that interview, I knew she was going to have a bright future.
Seeing her releasing new original music is honestly one of the most exciting things. One of my favorite releases of the year is her single, “Forgot About God” released earlier this year. What a record.
Once again, “White Gown” shows how great of a writer Jude is. I’ve always loved her songwriting. She’s a story-teller. She writes about real things; things that many people wouldn’t dare to write about. She doesn’t write like anyone else. Her style is unique and uncommon and it’s something we’ve barely heard before. Her song topics are different from what we hear today and that’s what makes her so special.
Jude is seriously one of the greatest female writers of our generation. An amazing talent who’s not afraid to be herself.
I really hope we will get to hear more music from her soon. While we can keep hearing the same music every day, Jude is out here creating the most authentic and honest art we’ve ever heard/seen.
