More in Luv
English band More In Luv recently released their latest single “Living For Two” and I instantly enjoyed listening to it. What caught my attention is the topic of the song and the lyrics. I think it’s something we should all remember when working in the music industry: being famous shouldn’t be the first goal.
I’ve been listening to all their songs on repeat and More in Luv is, without a doubt, a promising band. Their production is great, their melodies are brilliant, the vocals are smooth and soulful. I love how they use different genres into their music and their songs just feel good. I am definitely a fan and I cannot wait to hear more.
“Living For Two” is now available worldwide :)
Introduce the band - what's your story?
Yenno what, we’re just four mates who all had the same dream. 4 lads who love music and wanna do it forever no matter what. No point in being settled doing something you don’t like or unhappy with. Just wanna make tunes and this is where it’s took us.
"Living For Two" is your new single - what's the inspiration behind this song?
Well, 'Living for Two' kind of came from a place of stress but also somewhere beautiful. Of course we want to be successful in music but when it comes to it, all we wanna do in life is provide security and happiness for the people we love. Brekky on the table, warm hugs after work, salt n pepper chicken on a Friday evening.
What did you feel when writing this song?
Warmth, drive and acceptance for what we wanted to achieve in life. Lovely stuff init. Also palpitations from all the coffee our producer Gareth from the The Lounge gave us.
What can you tell us about the music video?
We had a laugh doing it, just 4 lads doing stupid stuff but finishing the day with something brilliantly charming and fun. Can’t wait for people to see it. Matty from Clearway Media is a creative wizard, he took our original idea of working in a job you hate and to made it into a belter piece of art.
What made you want to release "Living For Two" as a single?
Well, hopefully the tune speaks for itself Ay haha. We thought it was good enough to show to the public so that’s what we did.
What do you want to accomplish with this new single?
Yenno what if people listen to it and go yeah man, that’s sick, that will make me happy. Be boss if we can make people’s days better with our music.
What do you like the most about being in a band?
It’s boss creating music with others in your position, knowing you’re not the only one going through the process of the music industry. Especially when it’s with your mates.
As artists, what is the hardest part? And what is the best part?
Worst? Studio days aren’t accompanied with the best scrans. Best parts? Performing to your fans, deffo. The concept of people actually taking time out their lives to come watch you play your music and have a boss night all together. No better feeling, honest.
What are your thoughts on today's music industry? If you could change one thing, what would it be?
The music industry? There’s so much going on, isn’t there haha. What would I change? Hmm, streaming platforms probably, of course they’re a massive plus for pushing your music and as a consumer it’s great. But we just reckon the financial side of things as an artist, is essentially none existing.
What biggest lessons have you learnt since the beginning of your career?
Don’t get ahead of yourself, don’t get complacent, graft and graft and graft, it’ll happen. Most importantly enjoy yourself along the way and don’t get stressed. You’re doing music because you love it, what’s the point in being stressed? Hez hez.
In your opinion, what would make the world a better place?
Basically, be sound and f**k The Sun newspaper.
