"overgrown" by Grace Kay

I interviewed Grace Kay for her single "Here". She's a gem. A true Artist. She has one of the most beautiful and smoothest voices ever. Her songwriting is poetic and her productions are perfect.

Her new single "overgrown" is out now and this song is slowly becoming one of my favorite Grace's songs. Produced by Austin Foley, the new single perfectly responded to my expectations. As always, Grace Kay delivered vulnerability, emotion and honesty into her songwriting, which is what I love the most about her. We’re missing artists that deliver true emotions these days.

"Falling out of a friendship can be more heartbreaking than ending a romantic relationship. But, unlike exes who I never want to think of again, I will always feel a deep sense of love for old friends. "overgrown" is about that bittersweetness that will always haunt my heart," she explains.

Listening to Grace Kay's music always feels like watching an incredible movie. That's what I'm looking for when I listen to new music. I want to be able to see visuals in my head. That's what Grace's music does.

The production on “overgrown” tells a story. Austin Foley kept the production interesting. It’s actually very inspiring to hear. As you listen to the song, more elements/sounds are being added to the production and that’s what makes it so special. I love that the harmonies start on the second verse. This brings dynamism and colors to the song. We also don’t expect the song to end with just piano and vocals and I think this is brilliant.

“overgrown” is a MUST listen so go stream it and show her some love !! Congrats Grace on this new beautiful song. You are amazing.
