"Issues" by Dallas

I’ve been following Dallas since “M.A.M.G (Me & My Girls)” and her songs have been on repeat since then. “Shark” is probably one of the best songs ever released and I think this song changed the game in the music world. It was pop, hip-hop and rock, and it is something we’ve never heard before. I know this song will get more and more love as the years go by. Timeless.
Her new single “ISSUES” continues to prove how Dallas is not afraid to take risks and break rules. You might think “ISSUES” is a pop record when you hear the first few seconds but it quickly turns into a massive rock record with some classic pop melodies. It is definitely something I wasn’t expecting to hear, but at the same time, I wasn’t surprised. After the release of “Shark”, I was only expecting to hear something like this. “ISSUES” gets better each listen. I’ve always loved when productions take us to unexpected places and that’s what the production on “ISSUES” does. Let’s admit it, that is a pretty “risky” move to release something like this, but that is also bold as fuck, and that is why I love Dallas. I’m tired of hearing the same shit and the same types of songs/productions, especially in pop music but Dallas is one of these few artists who is truly making a change. She definitely doesn’t follow trends and that is fucking amazing. If this song had a regular pop production, it would have been a cool song but it would have been forgotten pretty quickly. With this production though, “ISSUES” becomes something epic and memorable, and something we barely get to hear in 2021.
Dallas is seriously one of a kind. She is changing the music game and I’m sure people will realize that, sooner or later. She is a true artist who likes to explore new things in her music, and that’s what music is all about.
Expect the unexpected, that’s how I would define her :)
