"Last Girlfriend" by Stanaj

I've been waiting for him to release a new song so I could write something about him and his music. I've been listening to the new single "Last Girlfriend" on repeat since 8am and it's now 4pm lol :) 

I discovered Stanaj years ago. I was looking for new talents on Youtube (my favorite hobby back in the day lol). I ran into his "Fall For Your Type" cover and my mind was blown. I don't believe this video is still up, but I remember thinking "this guy is going to blow up - what an incredible talent". I sent this video to my friends and told everyone the same thing "this guy is going to be huge". What caught my attention is his soulful/powerful voice and his piano skills. 

Years later, he dropped "Ain't Love Strange" and "Romantic" and his debut EP. I still listen to these two songs today. “Ain’t Love Strange” is insanely amazing. And "Romantic" is still one of my favorite songs. Ever. 

Seeing him releasing his first songs was super exciting, especially after I watched his live performance of “Ain’t Love Strange” on Fallon. That’s when I realized that Stanaj was not only an Artist, but also a sick performer. If you guys haven’t seen this performance, go watch it now. You’ll thank me later.

Today he dropped his new single titled "Last Girlfriend" produced by Mick Schultz. Like I said earlier, it has been on repeat all day. I think my favorite things about this song is the production, the melodies and his vocals. But the hook is honestly the best part - so simple but yet so dope.  This hook is what makes me want to play this song on repeat. Brilliant.

I’ve been following him for a long time now but I believe “Last Girlfriend” is one of his best songs ever.

Stanaj is one of the greatest vocalists out there (in my opinion) and one of the most promising artists/songwriters. I think he has so much more to share with the world and I can’t wait to see/hear what’s next for him.
