I featured Shelby Scott for her debut single “For Now” and today I decided to write about her second single “Please Don’t” ‘cause it’s a fucking banger. I already knew Shelby had some great potential but this second single is on another level. It’s r&b, soulful, catchy, fun, empowering, and it’s such a great summer jam. I freaked out the first time I heard it because I had absolutely zero expectations. The beat is sick, the melodies are dope, Shelby’s vocals are great, the harmonies are fire and the hook is amazing - my favorite part :) I couldn’t help but imagine a live version of this, it’s the kind of songs you HAVE to hear/see live. It’s also the kind of records you will listen to on repeat during Summer time, cause the song just makes you feel good and happy.
