"pretty little things" by nika jane

I first interviewed nika jane for her debut single “empire” released earlier this year and I was already blown away by her huge amount of talent. Her new single “pretty little things” is even better so I obviously had to write about it :)
At only 16 years old, nika jane is a singer, songwriter, producer, engineer, artist and she’s just getting started. I always pay close attention to productions and mixes when listening to songs, and nika jane surely knows how to do these things. She’s even better than some other artists who have been around for way longer than her. The fact she’s doing all these things on her own is definitely making her stand out from everyone else and it will definitely open a lot of doors. Plus, her songwriting is really mature for her age and that’s pretty amazing and refreshing.
“pretty little things” is memorable, well produced, and it has some of the most beautiful harmonies. I think her harmonies are some of the biggest strengths as a vocalist.
“pretty little things” is about the power of words on a person. Someone can make you feel really special whether they mean what they say or not, and as the recipient it can sometimes be hard to differentiate between authenticity or manipulation. It’s that doubt and confusion that I used as the basis for creating pretty little things,” explains Nika.
“pretty little things” is perfect. It is only her second single but I think her upcoming songs are only going to get better and better. And I’ll be here to witness that :)
