I’ve already said so many things about him and his music. But there are still so many things I’d like to share.
I still remember his first email. His voice and music instantly caught my attention. "Good Enough" was the first track. It felt like he was the artist I've been waiting for, and I wasn’t wrong. He writes, records, produces, and mixes his own stuff and he’s amazing at all these things.
Every single got better and better, and every time, I would say the same thing: "this one is his best song". But if I had to pick one true favorite, I would say "Known Like This" or maybe "Even When You're Home". I am always blown away every time I listen to these two singles. Perfect records with incredible harmonies.
And then we got "Right Here, Right Now". From that point, I knew he would keep on dropping big records. "Just Wanna Be Your Friend" is the song I've been waiting to hear from him, and "No Plans" has some of my favorite lyrics.
And today he has a new song out. It’s called "Concrete" and it's probably one of the best hooks he's ever written. I can't get enough of these melodies. Production wise, Kessler never disappoints. Ever.
“Concrete” is about the excitement of falling for someone and the fear that it won’t work out — the fear that you’ve invested too much — that you’re falling too fast,” he says.
Kessler continues to amaze me in every way. I've said this before, but he's become one of my current favorite artists/producers/engineers. Even after all these years, there are times where I’m wondering why am I doing all of this, and times where I just want to give up but artists like Kessler keeps me excited about music in general. His music makes me want to keep doing what I am doing.
Kessler makes the music industry more interesting, without a doubt.
Just like his previous singles, “Concrete” is authentic and incredibly well produced/mixed. And as always, he kept the production refreshing, and that’s one of the reasons why he’s one of the best out there.
