LEADR

LEADR is a legend. He’s an Artist. It is only the second song I am discovering from him but he knows what he’s doing and he’s amazing at what he does. His music is unique, brilliant and timeless. His visuals are pure art and I live for this. “I’m Alright” is another big record, with a massive production and some sick melodies. The visuals for this release are absolutely mind blowing. I always love it when visuals match the music, and LEADR knows exactly how to do that.

LEADR is one hell of a talent and I’m honored to get to feature this new smash. It’s called “I’m Alright”, and it is now available on all streaming platforms :)

Hi LEADR, how are you? You've just released your new single "I'm Alright" - how's it feel like?

Nervous but in a good way! I’m letting my baby out into the world and I am so excited for everyone to hear it.

Could you describe us the songwriting/production process for this particular song?

I wrote and produced this song 2 years ago and I felt like it was time to talk about overcoming a toxic relationship that wasn’t right for me. I didn’t want to live in fear anymore so I had to sever old wounds in order to find peace within myself. I took the song to another level and had Bram Inscore did his magic. When I heard the first rough draft, I got the chills. It was sooo good!

How was it like to work with Bram Inscore on this song?

When we met, we hit it off right away and did a bunch of cool writing sessions on Zoom. He’s worked with all of my favs from BTS and Rina Sawayama to Troye Sivan. It was during quarantine when we wrote, “I’m Alright”, but it worked out. He’s a genius and I’m so honored to work with him.

What's your favorite thing about this song?

Everything! I still can’t get over this song and every time I listen to it, I get the chills.

What can you tell us about the artwork?

Growing up, I used to watch Sailor Moon before I went to school. I love the anime aesthetic and I wanted to incorporate it into my artwork. On the cover, you see two lovers attached by a heart string and my higher self, LEADR, is in the middle cutting the cord to take his power back.

What's your goal for this song?

I want people to hear my story and say “I’ve been through something like that”, and make the change. Also, I envision this song on a tv show or movie trailer.

What lessons have you learned since the beginning of your career?

To be easy on yourself and enjoy the journey. Being an independent artist is hard but also rewarding. I’m just happy to be alive and sharing my story with the world.

What advice would you give to artists around the world?

We only have one life to live so make it count. Go after your dreams and don’t let anybody stop you!
